Friday Night Funkin is an open-source rhythm game that was developed by four users of the entertainment website Newgrounds. It also features an art style and aesthetic reminiscent of Adobe Flash player games of the 2010s, an era of gaming that is extremely nostalgic for most of us.
The synopsis of this mod from its developer says, “Walking into an old theatre, you meet 2 ghosts named Tanner and Marie. They were opera singers and performed in that theatre. They died and now their souls are trapped in the building until they get help from someone else. Perhaps you can help?”
As is clear from this brief summary of the mod, it seems as though the player will have to help the ghosts of Tanner and Marie free their souls from the old theatre that they are stuck in, presumably by getting past a series of levels that the user must clear to make their way through the theatre.
To download the mod, simply follow this link to it on the official GameBanana site. Alternatively, this is the direct download link for the .rar file. Once the download is completed, open the file and extract them into the game files and replace any overwriting to install the mod to your game.
The creator of this mod is NLD, with credits also going to PuppyRelp for his artwork. Original voice acting was performed by the likes of Not so Graceful Penny, ReshyNam, and PapTrisha.
