Poco F1

Well, ever since the rumors of MIUI 12 got on to the cards, it has been hitting the headlines pretty often. In case you don’t know, Xiaomi is ready to unveil MIUI 12 officially on April 27. MIUI 12 is the latest iteration of MIUI. The OS is based on the upcoming Android 11. A few days back, we also saw some of the coolest features of MIUI 12 and a few of the UI design leaks as well. MIUI 12 has been under development for a pretty long time now. We have also speculated a handful of Xiaomi and Redmi devices that are eligible to bag this update. Is your device eligible? Go, check it out!

MIUI 11

The Poco F1 is the first-ever device by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco. Poco F1 is still a worthy smartphone to date, capable enough to beat even some of the latest devices in the market. Poco has also been making some news lately for its upcoming smartphones, namely the Poco F2, and a few others as well.

Android 11 for Poco F1?

Poco F1 made a killer entry and shocked the whole market with its launch. It was one of the most powerful devices with a blazing fast performance back then. The device comes with the Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset which was the fastest SoC two years back. The device features a 6.18 inch IPS LCD screen. It offers up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Talking about the camera, it has a dual-camera setup at the back with a 12 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor. On the front, it has got a 20 MP selfie shooter with a pretty larger notch. It further comes with a 4000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Pocophone F1

While it’s hardly been some time since the Poco X2 has been in the markets, we have already seen a lot of rumors about upcoming Poco devices. This makes the two-year-old Poco F1 relatively outdated. The device came with Android Oreo out of the box and currently runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. This further marks the two major updates for the Poco F1 have already been delivered. Given that the device is now pretty old and the first device from Poco, there was a lot of confusion about the device receiving the Android 11 update. There is a very tiny probability that the device will be getting the Android 11 update.

MIUI 12 Confirmed!!

Heads up people, we have got something interesting for you. You will be glad to hear this piece of news. While it’s not pretty sure if the device will be getting the Android 11 update, it has now been officially confirmed that the Poco F1 will indeed get the MIUI 12 update. Only that doesn’t mean that this update will be based on Android 11. The device will probably be getting the MIUI 12 based on Android 10 with some of the new features ported from the upcoming Android 11. Cheers Peeps!!
