Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the latest installments in the Pokemon video game series. These games are somewhat identical to one another, but they have their difference. Both are available to play on Nintendo Switch. Aspects like an open world, catching Pokemon, fighting battles, etc. make these titles worth the time and money. Now, in an open-world game like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is difficult to reach and explore some locations that are far away. That said, these hard-to-reach locations indeed contain special Pokemon to catch and items to collect. In order to traverse more easily to reach such locations, you would want to learn how to fly or glide using your mounts. Continue reading this guide to learn how to do it easily.

How to Fly/Glide in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

To traverse easily by gliding or flying in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you will have to get Koraidon/Miraidon in the game. Well, Koraidon is a Pokemon Scarlet exclusive, while Miraidon is a Pokemon Violet Exclusive. These Pokemon are quite special when we take their traversing powers into account. They are your primary mounts in the game, and can also change their forms considering the terrain they are traveling over. Koraidon and Miraidon are also suitable when you want to sprint across the open world or swim across water bodies. pokemon-scarlet-and-violet-sv-how-to-fly-or-glide

Like all the other abilities, the Gliding ability of the pokemon can be unlocked by defeating a titan pokemon. To unlock this power, you will have to defeat the Great Tusk/Iron Treads Titan Pokemon in the Asado Desert while continuing the Path of Legends storyline. Once you defeat the titan, then your Koraidon/Miraidon will unlock the ability to glide. To use this ability, all you have to do is press the B button while you are in the air. But, note that if you press B again, you will start falling, so be careful with the controls. There are a bunch of other abilities you can unlock, so check the list below.

  • To Unlock Swim– Open Sky Titan
  • To Unlock Climb– False Dragon Titan
  • To Unlock High Jump– Lurking Steel Titan
  • To Unlock Dash– Stony Cliff Titan

So, this was everything about flying or gliding in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If you found this article helpful, share it with your friends.
