New pets were added to the game with the Lunar New Year update, and some of them are very hard to get. The Lunar New Year update dropped on 2nd Feb 2021. It was formerly teased by @PlayAdoptMe on Twitter in a post that revealed the exact date.

In the update, new pets were introduced which included the famous Guardian Lion resembling the legendary Lion figure of the Chinese tradition and 3 new Ox pets. But don’t even think that these pets will be easy to get. All the pets included in the Lunar New Year update are pretty rare, the Guardian Lion and the Metal Ox being the rarest.
