Who doesn’t love good food? Stories are way more fun to explore when accompanied by a plate of your favorite dish, and a cozy blanket. Food Wars Shokugeki no Shoma has both food and a good story, and we’re here for it. Let’s take a look at the New Food Wars Shokugeki no Soma game:
Food Wars Shokugeki no Shoma
In a world of delicacies, new food inventions, taking your tastebuds for an adventure is a manga series called Food Wars Sholugeki no Shoma. Anyone who has ever tried their hand at cooking knows it’s no easy task to achieve, let alone to excel at. The manga is set around Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute, an elite culinary school located in Tokyo, Japan. The top-class school includes great kitchens, hostels, halls where battles are held, among other things.
We follow the story of Soma Yukihira, a kid who wants to surpass his father as a chef in his restaurant. Due to a change in his father’s workplace, he shuts down his restaurant and enrolls Soma into Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute. Here, we see Soma making friends, food, rivalries, and battling it out with his peers. Discovering his dad to not only be an amazing chef, but also the second seat in the Council of Ten masters, his passion to surpass his father is only fueled further.
New Food Wars Shokugeki no Soma game
Due to its rather different storyline, Food Wars has seen the releases of 2 games so far. One of the games, a visual novel, was released in December 2015 across Japan. Titled Shokugeki no Soma: The Dish of Friendship and Bonds, the game was for Nintendo 3Ds. Another game titled Shokugeki no Soma: The Ultimate Recipe was released on the mobile gaming platform in August 2015.
However, the series has unfortunately seen no game adaptations since then. There have been no announcements regarding the same, especially for the year 2021.
