Once again, there’s a new issue that many Xbox players are having trouble dealing with. The Discord relink issue came out of nowhere and became a major issue in just a short amount of time. Something like this happens rarely, but when it does happen, you get players complaining left and right. As such, this guide will help in fixing this issue.
The issue here lies with Discord on the Xbox console, where players keep getting messages to relink their account despite having done that before. Even then, when players once again relink their accounts, Xbox just keeps giving the relink error, resulting in a relink loop of sorts. While this doesn’t affect games in any major way, it’s still a major issue that needs to be addressed. So without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out if there’s really a fix available for this issue.
Xbox Discord relink account not working: How to fix it?
Officially, the issue was fixed on November 30, 2023. However, if you still happen to be facing this issue, you can try the following workarounds:
Restart console –
The very first thing that we recommend you do is restart the console. While we can’t say if this will fix this issue, we still recommend giving it a try. Sometimes a simple restart is all you need to fix an issue. However, if this proves unsuccessful, go ahead and follow another method.
Check Xbox Core service status –
As we explained before, this could possibly be an issue related to Xbox’s Core services. As such, we suggest you head to the official Xbox Status webpage and see if everything’s “Up and running”. If it is, then the issue lies somewhere else. If not, then just wait for some time for Xbox to fix its core services.
Checkmark the trusted link pop up –
When attempting the relink, you will see a pop-up with a checkbox asking you to trust links opened by Discord. Checkmark that box, and hopefully this time around the relink loop should’ve stopped. If it doesn’t, you can try another workaround.
Use the QR code to link –
For some players, the only way to fix this issue was to link the Discord account using the QR code. If you haven’t tried this one before, do so and see if it helps in fixing this issue. In case the issue remains, you can try other workarounds.
Relink from a different device –
If you are still having issues linking your Discord ID to your Xbox console, we suggest you relink your account through another device. You can start by unlinking your Xbox console from Discord. Then, log in to your Discord account on another device. Now, head over to Connection Settings and disconnect the Xbox account. After doing that, relink your Xbox account and check if the issue persists.
Well, these are the workarounds you can try. Additionally, if you want to know how to get and use Discord on PS5, take a look at this guide. For more guides like this, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: Discord Update Failed Loop on macOS issue: Is there any fix yet
