Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Graphics Settings Not Saving Issue: Is there any fix yet?

While there is no official fix for this issue yet, we have a couple of solutions that might potentially resolve it. Just follow the instructions below. Also, note that some of these instructions are general troubleshooting tips.

1) Tweak the graphics file-

For this method, you will need to tweak a setting in the graphics file that the game saves on your PC. But before doing this, be sure to make the changes in the Graphics Settings in-game. Once you do so, save the setting and then close the game. Next, open This PC and head over to Documents. Here, look for the Koi Techmo folder and open it. Inside, open the “Wolong” folder> Save data. Now, open the Graphics Option file using notepad. In the first line, you will find the “config_type” variable that is set to High. Just delete the text and change it to Custom. Now, save the file and close it. Then, right-click the file, go to Properties, and make sure to check the box next to the Read-only option.

2) Run the game through the dedicated GPU-

It is important that you run a video game through the dedicated GPU on your PC. Otherwise, it will trigger various issues. It is very easy to switch between the available options. Just follow the instructions below-

  • Press the Windows key and type Graphics Settings.
  • Click on Browse and add the game’s executable file.
  • This file is located at Steam/steamapps/common/WoLongFallenDynasty.
  • Once you add the game, click on it and then click on Options.
  • Now, select the High-Performance NVIDIA GPU from the menu and then click on Save.

3) Disable the integrated GPU-

This issue is mostly in laptops that have two GPUs. So, you can disable the integrated graphics card and get rid of the problem. It is very easy to do so.

  • Press the Windows key and type Device Manager.
  • Now, go to the Display Adapters tab.
  • Right-click on the Integrated GPU.
  • Select Disable device option from the menu.

4) Verify the game files-

It is possible that the issue is not with your GPU. In this case, you can try to verify or repair the game files in order to get rid of the problem. Just follow the instructions below to do so.

  • Launch the Steam Client.
  • Go to Library.
  • Right-click Wo Long Fallen Dynasty.
  • Click on Properties.
  • Head over to the Local Files tab.
  • Click on the Verify integrity of the game files option.

5) Update your GPU drivers-

Outdated GPU drivers can also trigger all sorts of issues while playing video games. So, always keep them up to date. To do this, go to NVIDIA’s or AMD’s website and check if there is a new version of the drivers available. If there is, then download and install them immediately.

6) Reinstall the game-

Now, if nothing else works out for you, then your last bet is to reinstall the whole game. But, we only recommend doing so as a last resort. Just uninstall the game and delete all the game-related files from your PC. Then, do a clean installation of the game.

Well, this brings us to the end of the article. We hope that you were able to resolve the issue. Stay tuned to Digi Statement for more such gaming guides.
