What does Toast mean in MultiVersus?
Toasts in MultiVersus are small bonuses that you can get after a match. It is another player’s way of congratulating you for a good match. It could be for some very useful assists or for outright winning the match. The game introduced this mechanic to make it possible for players to interact with each other even after the match. There are a lot of times in such games where the matches end with the last 2 characters being very close or in similar health/ damage. Toasts are a way of acknowledging that the battle was hard fought or as a mark of mutual respect.
The act of giving someone else a Toast is called Toasting a player. Toasts have to be bought from the in-game store. They are bought in packs of 10 which cost 350 coins. In addition to this, they can also be earned by participating in character-specific challenges and progressing the battle pass. Once you have these Toasts, you can toast another player after you finish a match with them. As we mentioned earlier, they offer a small bonus of coins to the other player. This bonus of 25 coins is not much but it can be used to express respect for the match. It is also considered to be the sportsmanlike thing to do once you end the game (if you have had a good game with someone, of course).
