Update: Twitter new update (Version 8.28.2) fixes the crashing issue for the Android Twitter app. More details can be found here. Twitter official support also tweeted the following about the new update :
The Android app has now been fixed. The latest version (8.28.2) should no longer crash on launch –– you’re good to go ahead and update when it becomes available for you. Thanks for your patience.

Annd now the Twitter app wont work, hopefully that mess will be fixed soon- but for anyone trying to get in touch with me??? I'm likely going to stay on Mastodon mostly until this issue is fixed because it starts, opens & gives a "Twitter has stopped"notice in under 3seconds.
