Stormgate is another unique real-time strategy game that was unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2022 that the fans of the genre liked. Developed by Frost Giant Studios, a small part of ex-blizzard devs who worked on titles like StarCraft 2, meaning that it has all the essential elements of a good RTS game. The trailer revealed a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy elements and the cinematic experience where we saw certain characters battling against Gargoyles and Mechs looked intriguing and we can’t wait to see how all of it incorporates into real-time strategy. Setting of Stormgate
Stormgate settings take place in a dystopian future where humans combat demons using mechs and advanced technology. During the gameplay, players will be able to secure resources, develop bases, and train units to successfully win the game. At the moment, Frost Giant studios have only displayed two factions that will be in the game such as humans and demonic species, and in the future, many will be added which will open room for newer playstyles and contribute to the lore.
Release Date of the game
Sadly there’s no word or peep about the release date of Stormgate as it’s currently under development and new features are being added to the game as we speak. However, you can sign up for the beta on the official website to test the game and see what the gameplay feels like. Currently, the website is facing technical difficulties due to the huge amount of players rushing to register for the beta. Simply visit the website and enter your e-mail address and click on “Sign up for Beta”, the company will send you a link that’ll have credentials on how to access the game once it goes live in 2023 so sign up quickly and secure your slot.
Which platform Stormgate will be on?
Sadly Frost Giant Studio hasn’t clarified on which platforms Stormgate will be released at the moment. One thing that we do know is that it’s coming on PC and its beta testing will go live in 2023. We believe that once the devs added all the planned changes, and new content and thoroughly optimized the game, they will announce the game for other platforms. It will be a long time until we see the game on another platform and we’re excited about the future of Stormgate.
