Sons of the Forest Multiplayer/Singleplayer Save Files Disappearing Issue: Is there any fix yet?
Unfortunately, there is currently no fix for the Multiplayer/Singleplayer save files disappearing issue in Sons of the Forest. Players have been trying to contact the devs about this issue but so far, there has been no acknowledgment from them. According to players, their in-game progress is gone and they aren’t able to find the saved files on their PC as well. This is a serious problem because no matter how many times you replay the game, you will lose your saved data at some point. So, what can you do in this situation?
Well, the only thing players can do is make a manual backup of the local save files. To do this, press the Windows key and type %appdata%, and open the LocalLow folder. Now, open the EndNight folder and click on the Sons of the Forest folder. Inside, you will find your Singleplayer and Multiplayer save files.
Now, all you have to do is copy these folders/files to another location and then paste them back here in case they go missing. Well, you have to do this frequently so that even if your progress is lost, you can copy these files to the save directory to retrieve your previous saved progress. You can also ask your friend to share his/her saved game progress. More details on this can be found here. Anyways, we will update our article if more information or a fix is available for this issue. So, stay tuned to Digi Statement.
