Schedule I has you managing a world of cannabis empire-building, but sometimes the real trip starts before you even load in. Lately, a growing number of players, especially in the game’s multiplayer mode, have reported getting stuck on the dreaded “Spawning Player” or “Loading World” screen. Whether you’re trying to join a friend’s session or just dive into co-op chaos by hosting a server, hitting this infinite loading bug can be a serious buzzkill. So, how to fix it?
This multiplayer issue in Schedule I has been causing frustration for co-op players, particularly when one player, usually the client, gets stuck on the “Spawning Player” screen indefinitely. While the host can load into the game and play normally, the joining player remains frozen in the loading state, unable to access the game world. Well, more details on how to fix it are shared below.
Schedule I Stuck in Spawning Player/Loading World Screen (Multiplayer): Is there any fix yet
Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed fix for the “Spawning Player” issue in Schedule I just yet. Since the game is still in active development, players are left to troubleshoot using a variety of community-suggested workarounds. Some may work for you, others might not—so it’s all about trial and error until a proper patch is released.
Drying Racks
One workaround that seems to help involves the drying racks. So, if you have any items inside them, try emptying them before your friend joins the session. This has reportedly allowed players to bypass the stuck loading screen. Once they’ve successfully joined, you can use the racks again, but if they disconnect and try to reconnect later, you’ll likely need to repeat the process. Also, others have mentioned that emptying the racks or cancelling the drying mechanism entirely has helped resolve the bug. Once the racks are cleared or deactivated, the client can usually join the session without getting stuck.
Bugged employees?
Another workaround for the “Spawning Player” bug in Schedule I involves clearing out potentially bugged employees. For this, open File Explorer and paste the following in the Address Bar: “%appdata%\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\SaveGame_1\Properties\”. Now, enter the “property name” folder you are currently on and then head into the Employees folder. After this, delete all the folders inside the “Employees” directory. Alternatively, firing all employees in-game (if possible) may achieve the same result. While it’s unfortunate to lose your hired staff, it’s a far better trade-off than having to restart your entire save.
Active deals?
Some players have found that active deals in Schedule I can trigger the multiplayer “Spawning Player” bug. Removing all active deals before trying to join a session seems to resolve the issue for some. Additionally, if you’re still facing problems, try having the host load into the game first and send an invite directly through Steam instead of using the in-game invite system.
Bugged mixing stations
Several players found that if the host deletes all mixing stations from the affected property by navigating to the AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\…\Properties\<Your Property>\Objects folder and removing the relevant files, the game loads properly again. This workaround has allowed both hosts and clients to bypass the loading issue and resume multiplayer gameplay smoothly.
Remove Loose Trash
You can also ask the host to use the Deletetrash console command to remove all loose trash from the server. Doing so should allow you to enter it. At least this player was able to fix the issue using this method.
Reinstall
Reinstalling the game is another potential fix. First, as a precaution, back up your save files by navigating to %appdata% > LocalLow > TVGS and copying the entire folder to your desktop. Then, uninstall the game via Steam, reinstall it, and invite your friend(s) to join your lobby again. Don’t forget to paste your copied saves back to the game’s save file location.
