The brand is now continuously thriving to keep up with its position in the tech market with its amazing devices. Realme provides top of the line specs to its devices bundled with an equally impressive design at an affordable price point. Well, Realme devices used to run on ColorOS owing to the fact that Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo. Now, the brand has its own Custom OS Realme UI developed solely for Realme devices. Realme UI is currently one of the best Custom OS out there. Realme UI brings home a minimal and elegant user interface that looks beautiful. Not just that Realme UI also comes with tons of features and services.

Realme has been rolling out the latest Realme UI to its devices from the past few months. Realme UI update also brought with it Android 10 to these devices. While some of the Realme devices have still not received the Realme UI update, here we are looking at all those speculated devices which would receive the Realme UI 2.0. Yes, you heard it right. Realme is all set to release its latest iteration of Realme UI 2.0 very soon. So, what changes will the latest OS update bring? What new features will we get to see? The whole internet has been speculating about all those amazing features Realme UI 2.0 would bring with it. The topmost feature and change that the Realme UI 2.0 would bring is the arrival of Android 11. Yes, Realme UI 2.0 will come out with the latest iteration of Android R. Realme UI brought a ton of new and awesome features. Keeping that in mind, we can be assured that the latest iteration would obviously come with yet more amazing features and improvements. Here are some of the most exciting features that we will get to see in the upcoming OS:

Enhanced Dark Mode:

We will see a better and improved Dark Mode feature. This will be tuned to bring a system-wide overall dark Mode. We have already seen Dark Mode before in Realme devices which were not tuned for all the system and third-party apps. Realme UI 2.0 fixes that and brings out a much more enhanced and dynamic system-wide Dark-Mode that looks stunning.

Dark Mode Schedule:

Well, talking about the trending Dark Mode feature, many devices now come with the option to schedule the Dark Mode. Realme devices exactly missed this feature. Realme UI 2.0 lets you easily schedule the timings to automatically toggle between the Dark Mode and the normal Light Mode. This feature comes in handy as we can set the timings according to our preferences for Dark Mode.

New Realme Share:

Many OEMs these days are providing their own sharing feature. Realme devices already this feature called Realme Share that came with Realme UI. Realme UI 2.0 will introduce a new and improved Realme Share feature which will let you share all sorts of files and documents much faster than before. This will also let seamless connectivity across all types of Android devices which was not the case earlier.

Double-Click Back Gestures:

Now, you can use gestures not only on the screen but also on the back on the device. Well, that sounds pretty interesting. What’s even more interesting is that this feature requires no new hardware or sensors. With the use of the already existing accelerometer and gyroscope sensor, the device determines the double-click at the back. This is a pretty exciting and completely new feature that will be seen for the first time in any device.

Tweaking Back Gestures:

Well, we will also see a lot of options to successfully tweak the back gestures on double-clicking. There were issues earlier while using the gestures which led to the accidental triggering of some apps and menus. Realme UI 2.0 fixes that by introducing sliders on both sides of the screen to adjust the sensitivity of the back gestures according to our comfort.

Better Battery Optimization:

Users who updated their device to the Realme UI reported facing several battery drain issues. With the arrival of Realme UI 2.0, Realme has fixed all those bugs and optimized the battery for better performance. This has further enhanced the battery life of the device. Users should see a significant increase in battery performance after the update and without any battery drain issues.

One Time Permissions:

Well, this thing has always remained with the Android OS. Earlier, we had to allow access to location, camera, microphone and what not every single time until the app was up and running in the background. Realme UI 2.0 changes the scenario this time. Now, we can allow specific permissions to various apps only for one single time.


So, these were some of the pretty amazing features we will get to see with the upcoming Realme UI 2.0. This was just a tiny list among tons of other exciting features. Realme UI 2.0 will definitely be a major update to Realme devices and improve the performance even further.

Well, we know you have been eagerly waiting for the Realme UI 2.0 update. Realme has not yet rolled out Realme UI to all the scheduled updates. Keeping in mind the present scenario of crisis arising due to the COVID-19 pandemic and analyzing the previous trends by Realme, we expect that the final and stable build of the Realme UI 2.0 update would start rolling by the end of late 2020 or the beginning of early 2021. However, there are no official updates about the release dates as of now. So, things might also change according to further situations in the future.

Realme has not yet released the official roadmap for the Realme UI 2.0 update and has not hinted about which all devices will be getting the update. But, hey you don’t have to worry.
