POCO X3

POCO has been and individual smartphone company since January 2020. Many call this a marketing strategy for releasing multiple devices and smartphone series under more than one label. Even Vivo has opted to this by coming up with IQOO. However, Pocophone still runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI custom skin based on Android.

The most interesting part about MIUI 12 is that it supports Android 11. With the stable release of Android 11 for smartphone brands like Xiaomi and POCO arriving soon, MIUI 12 is indeed an exciting piece of treat. But the POCO X3 NFC users aren’t happy with the MIUI 12 update.

One of the users shared a post on Reddit stating that the newly released MIUI 12 based POCO X3 phone’s settings are not sicking/ staying the same after rebooting.

MIUI 12 bug

Apparently, every time after rebooting the device, users are asked to accept/ change permissions for apps and notifications over and over again.

The Redditor’s POCO X3 NFC is running on MIUI 12.0.2.0 and they are using the Europen variant of the device. They are asked to grand Mi Fit permissions to read notification every time after rebooting their device. They are also asked to grant permissions for MicroG and 9 other to avoid battery saving.

The post instantly gained a lot of comments, with suggestions and replies confirming the issue. The user has even tried factory reset but the issue persists.

One of the replies also came from a Redditor using the Indian variant of the MIUI 12-based POCO X3 user. Here’s the screenshot of the comment-

POCO X3 NFC was released just a month ago, on Sept-08, 2020. So it isn’t recognized if this bug is related to the POCO X3 device or the MIUI v12.0.2.0.

Also, there is no official word regarding the issue yet. So go ahead to the POCO forum by clicking here and post a thread if you are facing the same issue.
