After seeing its early access launch on October 23, 2023, Lethal Company has been getting a steady flow of new and curious players. However, like any other newly released title, it suffers from a myriad of issues. One of those issues is the Auto Sprinting issue, which many players have been complaining about a lot.
Some players have been enjoying the Gotta Go Fast experience that this bug brings, but for many, this issue is nothing more than an annoyance. So far, no one has been able to find the root cause behind this problem, but nevertheless, it’s a gameplay-affecting issue and, as such, should be dealt with ASAP. So, is there a fix for this yet? Lethal Company Auto Sprinting Issue: Is there any fix yet
Try the following workarounds and see if any of them are of help. Zeekerss has yet to acknowledge this issue, so you will need to make use of these potential workarounds for now. Follow these carefully and see if any of them are of help to you.
Check your keyboard –
Well, the obvious first thing you should do is check your keyboard. Make sure that your shift key isn’t stuck and that sticky keys aren’t enabled by default. You can even make use of programs such as ICUE or Razer Synapse to check your keyboard behavior.
Stand still and press right shift –
One player easily resolved this bug by standing still and then pressing the right shift key. Try this and see if it works for you too. If it doesn’t, switch to the next workaround.
Enter -nojoy in launch options –
The “-nojoy” launch option command disables joystick support for the game and can be used to deal with this bug as this player has. Now, if you don’t know how to add launch option commands to a game, we suggest you follow the instructions below carefully –
- Open Steam and head over to Library.
- Now, right-click on the game and select Properties > General.
- On the right side of the screen, check below and you will see Launch Options in there.
- Enter “-nojoy” in the launch options textbox, and then launch the game.
Use another input method –
If you’ve been using a keyboard so far, you can switch to a controller and vice-versa. This way you will know pretty fast if the issue is with the hardware itself, or the game. If the latter is true, switch to the next workaround. Additionally, if you have a spare controller or keyboard lying around, you can make use of that too.
Use Alt+Tab –
Seems like Alt-Tabbing kind of fixes this issue. So, just press Alt+Tab and Sprint button, and the issue will most likely get resolved. Furthermore, you can also try resetting your controls or even change keybinds in the game.
