Ever since Hunt Showdown has been released, we have had just one thing to say – This is the best game that you should play when you are not playing games!
Hunt Showdown has managed to impress the masses, mostly those who like some serious action sequences in the horror games. If you do not know what Hunt is, do not worry as Digi Statement has got you covered!
Hunt Showdown is a first-person shooter video game developed and published by the company Crytek. Taking about the game, it is a masterpiece in itself. It has that action element that won’t let you get up from the edge of your seat, that horror sequence that will lead to your fingers being in your mouth, that alien and monster part that will keep you motivated to fore an extra round of bullets, and many more. Those who have played the game know what all we are talking about.
When it comes to the release date, the game has a rather long list of release dates. It was first launched on Steam in early access on 22 February 2018, and then for Xbox Game Preview on 29 May 2019.
The full version was launched on 29th August 2019 for Microsoft Windows, on 19 September 2019 for Xbox One, and then on 18 February 2020 for PlayStation 4. So the date series is quite long, and the game has been in the market for a long time as well.
Now, for those who do not know what Hunt Showdown is all about, the game is a perfect cocktail of PvPvE as you will wade into the deadly swamps of Louisiana bayou along with 12 other players (enemies obviously!) and hunt down monsters! Yes, monsters, supernatural ones!
Crytek rolled out the update patch 1.6.2 and it has brought a lot of changes – and some notable additions – into the game and is currently playable on the games test servers. Here is everything the update 1.6.2 has brought for the players –
NEW REVOLVER
A new revolver has been added for the aid of those players who struggle to land headshots on the enemies within the game. The revolver has been named Scottfield Model 3 revolver. It is a small slot and medium ammo pistol with a six-shot capacity. By the looks of it, it seems to be highly influenced by the real-life Smith and Wesson Model 3 revolver, and the Schofield revolver from Red Dead Redemption. Now it has some pros and cons.
The revolver will allow the players to reload faster as compared to the other revolvers available in the game, thanks to an open cylinder and a quick ejector. Plus its medium ammo type will let it travel farther and hit harder as compared to the other revolvers available in that particular price range in the game.
RENEWED VETTERLI 71 KARABINER RIFLE
The update has brought two new variants to the Vetterli 71 Karabiner rifle – The Vetterli Marksman and the Vetterli Silencer. While the former will turn the rifle into a better sniper with a high-powered long scope, the latter will make it a handy weapon in stealth killing mode thanks to the suppressor.
NEW HEALING ADD-ON
The game has got a new healing add-on – The Regeneration Show. It will heal players over time automatically, but it will half the player’s health regeneration from 5 health per second to 2.5. It will also be paused whenever players are bleeding, poisoned, or burned, and also if they are trying to revive a teammate using the Necromancer trait.
OTHER NOTABLE CHANGES
Other notable changes include –
- It is easier to earn help in the killing.
- The number of slots for hunters is 50 instead of 20 now.
- Improvements have been made to the matchmaking system for players that disable the skill matchmaking option. Previously, the system first tried to match players with equal opponents in a match, and then expanded the search area to other groups, but it disabled matchmaking by skill. Now, when skill recruitment is disabled, both types of recruitment – normal and equal – will take place at the same time.
These were the newest additions to Hunt Showdown which came in with the update!
