On August 3, 2021, Humankind announced that the game will be releasing in 2 weeks from now on Windows, macOS, and Stadia. Coming back to the topic, the main reason behind the delay of this game on macOS is that the developers still think that there is scope for improvement. Also, they are still having several issues with the configuration and multiplayer mode of this game on this Operating System. The developers also mentioned, “This was a difficult decision for us, but we really wanted to take the time and make sure that the PC version was as good as possible, but also ensure that we had the necessary time to give the Mac version all the love that it is equally deserving of”. This statement shows the concern of the developers regarding the perfect launch of this game.
According to the announcement, the delay would be around one month from the release date of the game (17 August 2021). So, we could hope for the release of Humankind on macOS around mid-September.
