To increase the layer of security, the PS5 requires a login passcode to gain entry into it and start playing. You need to know and remember it every time you try to login into that account. How to reset the login passcode on PS5 & sign into the account
It’s very easy to reset the login passcode on PS5 and sign in to an account. Follow the steps below carefully to complete the process.
- Boot up your PS5 and in the beginning, you will get the security page with the heading Enter your PS5 login Passcode. Here you have to type in the correct code to gain entry to your account. Now, if you don’t remember it, go to the Forgot Passcode? at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Press the Options key from your controller on the message.
- On the next page, you will get the message Sign in to PlayStation Network to reset your PS5 login passcode. Now click on the Sign-In button. The Sign-In window will now open. Here you will find two options to reset your login passcode on PS5 & sign in to your account.
First Way
- On the left-hand side of your screen, you will get the option of signing in manually with your Sign-in ID or email address and your password. Now, if you forget this password also, then you have to go to Forgot Password? at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and click on it.
- A new window will now open up with the heading Forgot your Password?. Here you have to enter your Sign-in ID or email address for your account. After that, you will get a message in your email address with a link to change your password.
- Enter the correct Sign-in ID or email address in the space given and click on Next at the bottom of your screen.
- Now check your email inbox for a message from your PS5. If you did not get the message then recheck your email address. Wait for a while if you have sent multiple requests and then try again.
- If you have received the link, click on it and a new page will open up where you will get the option of entering a new passcode and resetting it. Enter your new passcode twice and you will be able to get to the home page of your account.
Second way
On the Sign-In page, you will get another option on the right-hand side of your screen with the heading Sign-In with PlayStation App. You will get a quick code on your PlayStation app on your mobile. Press it and you will be able to Sign-in into your account. Here again, you will get the option of resetting your passcode like in the previous step.
