How to invite players to voice chat on PS5.

Voice chat on PS5 is a little bit different compared to PS4, but not to worry as the invite process will be very easy as long as you follow the instructions mentioned below. Let’s get started on how to set up voice chat and invite your friends.

  • Press the PS button on your Controller to open up the Control Center and select “Game Base”. Now, scroll down to the party option which is the headset icon, and tap on “Start Party”.
  • After that, choose “Open Party” or “Closed Party”. However, it is recommended that you choose “open party” and select “Invite Players”. Now, select the players that you wish to form a group with and send an invite. Tick the box of the friend you wish to add and select “Ok”. You can see their icon once they’re invited and toggle the “Require Request to Join” option so that way, players can only join by sending you requests.
  • Once you’re done, tap on the “Start Party” button. Now that the party is created, select the Player Plus icon to invite players to the party. Head to your friend’s list or “Played Together”, and invite people to your Voice Chat party.
  • If you have a friend in particular to who you’d like to send a request, you can go to their name and there’ll be an icon next to it, which is the voice chat option. Simply select the option to join their Voice Chat Party. From there, you can even add additional players to the party.
