TRANSFER FROM PLAYSTATION 5 TO THE USB DRIVE

Follow the below steps to transfer the files from your PS5 to the USB Drive –

  • The first thing you got to do is to plug in the USB Drive to the front slot of your PS5.
  • Now that your USB device is plugged in, go and locate the media gallery.
  • If you do not find your USB device under the media gallery section, scroll over to the game library.
  • Next, tab over to install by using R1. Then you should be able to find your device under the installed section.
  • If you do not find the device under this section as well, press and hold down the share button. Then go over to your most recent video clips and select any clip you want to share. This will open up the media gallery.
  • Now with your USB stick plugged in, you can easily transfer the videos. First, go on to the left side of the screen to Sort By, and select Data Added – New to Old. As an alternative, you can go by your games specifically by going over to the albums.
  • In the albums folder, select the game whose video clips you want to transfer. Click on it.
  • Press the options on the video clip you want to transfer. From the options available, click on Copy to USB Drive.
  • You can also select multiple clips at the same time. For this, go to the left side of the screen and select Select Multiple. After this, you can select more than one video clip.
  • Next, go down to the three little dots on the down right corner of the screen and click on them. From the options available, select Copy to USB Drive. Finally, click on Copy.
  • Remember that if you have a USB 3.0 stick, the files will be transferred faster than other ones.
  • Now in your USB Drive, the copied files will be present under the PlayStation 5 folder. So press Ok on the screen and remove your USB stick from the PlayStation.

TRANSFER TO PC FROM THE USB DRIVE

  • Next, right-click on it and then go to Files Explorer. It should pop open then.
  • You can next go down to ‘This PC’ and you should be able to find your USB stick in there. Click on it.
  • Next, locate the PS5 folder. Then go to Create, and then go to video clips. There you can find the game you went ahead and copied over. You should be able to find your video clips in there.

Now, go to the bottom right side of the screen. Then go from the list to the thumbnails and images. Then you should be able to see the thumbnail for your video clip in there. If you double click on a video, it should pop open!
