Honor owned by Huawei Technologies launched Honor 9X under its budget-centric ‘X series back in October 2019. The smartphone comes with a bezel-less display, a high-end SoC, a 48 MP camera, and a lot more. Honor 9X is equipped with a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the Honor 9X houses HiSilicon Kirin 710F (12 nm) and is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery.
The smartphone was initially launched with the Android 9 Pie, based on EMUI 9.1. Users of Honor 9X are waiting for Android 10 for quite some time now. Well, recently Honor has released the beta version of Android 10 for Honor 9X and a stable version of the update should be in the pipeline.

Cut to now, Honor 9X has started to get the January 2020 security patch update. As per RPRNA, the new update for Honor 9X is 114MB in size with version number EMUI 9.1.0.317 (C431E1R1P2).
How to check for update:
Via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on ‘System’
- Click on ‘Software update’
- Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
- Click on ‘Download and install’
Via HiCare:
- Open HiCare app
- Click on ‘Services’ tab
- Click on ‘Update’
- Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
- Click on ‘Download and install’
