Friday Night Rollin’ Kirby Mod
Friday Night Funkin’ is a 2D flash game that incorporates a DDR-esque gaming mechanism. This means the player needs to match their arrow keys with the prompts shown on the screen. The game also features a lot of indie animators, where most of the featured characters come from Newgrounds.
Friday Night Rollin’ Kirby Mod involves the MC of the game, Boyfriend, being replaced with Kirby. For those of you who don’t know Kirby, let’s see the history of a rather adorable character.
Kirby is a character from a series of beat-em-up games that have been developed by HAL Laboratory. The game follows our hero, Kirby in a quest to save his home on Planet Popstar from various threats. Kirby’s appearance can only be described as small pink alien wearing shoes(no visible legs) and 2 arms, at least the purpose they serve is of arms. Kirby has been a staple in several games across various platforms, most notably the fighting game Super Smash Bros.
Friday Night Rollin’ Kirby Mod is another such feature where we see Kirby in the Friday Night Funkin’ universe. While the mod is a Work in Progress, a video of the latest development in the gameplay of the mod has been released by the developer. It depicts a considerably blurry battling it out against Spirit, another character from the Friday Night Funkin’ universe. The setting also has Girlfriend bopping her head on the top of the speakers, as no changes have been made to her character in the mod, yet. The developer’s notes indicate the mod being only 10% done yet, but we can wait for the final result.
