Forza Horizon series is considered a timeless masterpiece when it comes to realistic racing simulation and does live up to its name as one of the best racing games of all time. Its latest entry, Forza Horizon 5 is a major step-up in terms of content, plenty of licensed cars, huge open-world, challenges, and limited-time events. FH 5 always has something new to offer and we can’t get enough of it.
As the game was recently released, there were some minor bugs and exploits that broke the balancing system of the game, but all of them were patched up. Recently, players are unable to unlock accolades in the game that severely hinders the progress of the game and makes it unplayable. Has the fix arrived yet? Read on more to know about the accolades issue in FH5 and the release date of the fix.
About the game
Forza Horizon 5 has several elements that add to the replayability value like limited-time events that feature unique rewards, hall of fame events that only the best of the best compete, and newer car rewards from doing certain events. The game also offers multiple ways to acquire any car of your choosing like the auction house, forzathon shops, and plenty more. Players who are new to the series or longtime veterans both find Forza Horizon 5 enjoyable.
The cause of the accolade bug in FH5.
Like most games, ever since FH5 was released, it was filled with bugs, but most of the annoying ones were patched soon. However, some remained, and among such is the accolade bug on events that simply won’t register accolades in the game, particularly on drift events. It is currently unknown why the accolade bug is affecting these events. Thankfully devs have seen the issue and assured the fans that the next update will fix the accolade bug and make the game playable.
What else is fixed in the update
Playground games took to their official blog on Steam to outline some of the changes that they’re working on currently. Here are some of the things that devs of Forza Horizon 5 are currently working on, or planning on working.
- Leaderboards – Sometimes the game registers incorrect lap times and high scores being posted to PR stunt leaderboards and Rivals. Devs are currently working on a new measure to handle the situation around cheating in the future.
- Wheels – Some players reported that they have difficulties getting their wheelspins working correctly. Lack of force feedback and rumble functionality is something many fans are worrying and playground games have added it to their priority list.
- Festival Playlist – To make the game more enjoyable, FH5 devs are also optimizing future challenges and objectives that can be completed by all players and fixing the incorrect total value of series points earned by some players when navigating to the previous series playlist.
- EventLab – The players will have the ability to save and edit EventLab content post creation.
- Accolades – Fixing accolades is the top priority on the devs end as accolades aren’t unlocking or resetting and has caused the game to become unplayable.
