Fae Farm multiplayer Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet

Imagine that you are all excited to experience a farming simulator filled with magic in the magical world of Fae Farm. The sun is shining, your virtual crops are ready to be harvested, and you’re all set for some farming fun in this game that lets up to four players play together. But hold on a second; there’s a problem. You’ve all gathered around, ready to invite your friends, but then something annoying happens. You run into an issue due to which you are not able to play the game or even invite your in-game friends, as the multiplayer mode isn’t working in Fae Farm. So, what do you do now? Is there a fix for this?

Several players are experiencing this multiplayer issue in the game when attempting to play with friends, turning the exciting multiplayer farming adventure into a lonely solo farming experience. The problem has persisted since the game’s release. But is a fix available? Let’s find out.

Fae Farm Multiplayer Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet

Fae Farm multiplayer Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet

Struggling with the issue, players have taken up online forums and even contacted the official support team. Now, among a few shared workarounds, there is one particular workaround that was suggested by the support team itself. This has solved the issue for most players. However, before you try this workaround, we recommend restarting the game once and making sure that your internet connection is stable. With those in check, here’s what you need to do.

Possible Causes of the Issue

According to the official team, the problem appears to be related to routers or ISPs (Internet Service Providers) blocking certain websites associated with the game, mistakenly flagging them as phishing websites. This blockage disrupts the account creation process, leading to the multiplayer connectivity problem.

Workaround

As shared by Steam user Patrixia, the official support team shared a workaround to bypass this issue by whitelisting specific websites on your router if possible. Here’s a step-by-step guide to implementing this solution:

  • Access your router’s settings. You can usually do this by opening a web browser and typing your router’s IP address into the address bar. Common IP addresses for routers include 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. You may need to consult your router’s manual or your ISP for the correct IP address.
  • Log in to your router’s settings using your admin credentials. If you haven’t changed these credentials before, they are often set to default values like “admin” for both the username and password. Check your router’s manual or contact your ISP if you’re unsure.
  • Look for a section related to website blocking or parental controls. This section’s exact location and name can vary depending on your router model.
  • Within this section, you should find an option to add websites to a whitelist or exception list. Add the following URLs to this list:
  • Save the changes and exit the router settings. Restart your router to apply the changes.
  • Relaunch Fae Farm and check whether the multiplayer works. Hopefully, you should now be able to play with friends without encountering the online multiplayer issue.

Note: If you’re not comfortable configuring your router or if your router doesn’t have the necessary options, you can contact your ISP for assistance.

By following these steps, players can hopefully resolve the multiplayer connectivity problem in Fae Farm and enjoy the game with their friends. Now, the good news is that the development team has mentioned working on resolving this issue with ISPs. That will be a permanent fix for this multiplayer issue, and you will no longer have to resort to this workaround. However, there is currently no specific timeframe for when this will be resolved. Also, while we are on the topic of Fae Farm, here is a guide on using emotes in the game. And finally, make sure to follow DigiStatement for more reads like this.
