EA Sports FC 24 This ea account is restricted from accessing any online features Issue Is there any fix yet

Did you order the ultimate edition of the upcoming EA Sports FC 24 thinking that you would start your grind from the early access period itself to build a formidable ultimate team? Well, your in-game journey isn’t as smooth as you would’ve hoped, right? Since the game is still in early access, there are some problems with it. While normal bugs and glitches are somewhat tolerable, if an error occurs that prevents you from playing online, it can ruin the game completely. Sadly, that is what a lot of players are dealing with right now. And like always, we are here to offer some information and workarounds for this issue.

The issue is simple: some players who have purchased the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24 are encountering an issue where their accounts are restricted. This means that they are not able to access certain features or content within the game that they should have access to with the Ultimate Edition. Now the next question is: is there a fix yet? Well, let’s find out.

EA Sports FC 24 “This ea account is restricted from accessing any online features” Issue: Is there any fix yet

EA Sports FC 24 This ea account is restricted from accessing any online features Issue Is there any fix yet

Sadly, as of writing this article, there is no fix for this error yet. On the bright side, the community managers at EA forums have assured the players that the developers are “investigating” the issue. As to when it will be resolved, the community manager says, “At this time, we do not have any further updates or an estimated time of resolution”. Now, while we wait for a fix from the officials, take a look at some potential workarounds that the gaming community has come up with for this issue. Assuming that you have already checked your internet connection and updates for the game, here are some other workarounds for you to try.

Verify Files

It might sound simple, but this has been working for some players. So, open your Steam client, head to the library tab, right-click on EA Sports FC 24, and select Properties. Here, inside the Installed Files tab, you will find the option to verify the game files. If you have the EA App version of the game, the process is still similar. Open the library on your EA app and select FC 24. After that, click on Manage and select Repair. This will be equivalent to Steam’s file verification process. You can also do the same if you have bought the game via the Epic Games Store. At last, give your PC a restart and launch the game.

The Steam, EA App workaround

This next workaround comes from beather who recommended it on the game’s Steam discussion forum. Well, before you try this, note that other players have reported that following this method didn’t fix the issue for them at all. So, while we cannot guarantee whether this will work in your case, you can still give it a try. This workaround involves launching the game initially from Steam and encountering the connection error. Afterward, exit the game and close the EA app. Then, open the EA app separately, log in with your EA account linked to the game on Steam, and click “Play EA Sports FC 24” from the EA Play option, not Steam. Following this process should enable the game to connect to the servers successfully.

Redeem Ultimate Edition Content (Steam)

To do this, go to your Steam library and open the EA Sports FC 24 page. If, beside the Play button, you see the option to “Redeem Ultimate Edition Content”, select it! Doing so will unlock the Ultimate Edition features, thereby letting you connect to the game servers.

Go Offline (EA App)

This may or may not work for everyone, but it is still worth a try. So, begin by opening the EA App, clicking on the icon at the top right, and selecting “Go Offline”. Now, from the list of installed games, select EA Sports FC 24 and launch it. When you enter the main menu of the game, minimize it and open the EA App again. Now, following the same methods mentioned earlier, go online. Head back to the game, and check if the error persists. If everything works out, you should be able to play Ultimate Team without any interruptions.

Reinstall/Contact Support

If none of the above-mentioned workarounds work for you, the last option is to completely reinstall the game and hope that the error won’t show up again. If that does not solve the issue for you, consider contacting the support team and letting them know of your problems. Well, since quite a lot of players have reported this problem, a fix will most likely be released soon.

At last, we can only hope that issues like these will be eradicated before/with the full release of the game on September 29, 2023.
