Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage saw its official launch on October 5, 2023, for all major platforms excluding the Nintendo Switch. Even more, the game is set to release for the iPhone 15 Pro sometime early in 2024. Well, the reception around AC Mirage has been quite positive, as it’s the first game in a long while to have followed the proper/classic Assassin’s Creed setting in not only name but gameplay too. Focusing hard on stealth expectations and a linear storyline, fans of the original trilogy couldn’t be happier. However, recently we have encountered reports of an error code 0x87e10bc6 affecting players on Xbox while launching the game. So, if you are struggling with a similar problem, here’s everything you need to know.
This particular error has something to do with both AC Mirage and Xbox’s servers. Because of this, many players are unable to launch the game as the error code 0x87e10bc6 appears on their screen. Some even reported that the game doesn’t even appear on their Ubisoft+ subscription library, thereby restricting their access to it entirely. So, is there a fix for this error? Assassin’s Creed (AC) Mirage Unable to Launch on Xbox due to Error Code 0x87e10bc6: Is there any fix yet
At the time of publishing this guide, the issue seems to be fixed. Xbox Support communicated regarding this issue on their official Twitter handle stating that users can now launch the game on their Xbox consoles, so all should be fine by now. However, if for some reason the issue persists on your console, you can try out the following workarounds.
Users should once again be able to launch Assassin's Creed Mirage normally. Thanks for the reports, and happy gaming. https://t.co/ZRGg2ebE2d

Go offline –
There’s a pretty wide divide between players when it comes to this particular workaround. For some, going offline has worked wonders, while others are still unable to play the game. Still, we suggest you try it out and see if it helps with resolving this issue. To go offline on your Xbox console,
- First, press the Xbox button on your controller. This will open the Guide menu.
- Here, select Settings, and then head to the General settings menu. Now, select Network Settings and press the Go Offline button.
Note: This workaround might not work in your case, as it didn’t for many. However, since some were able to get access to the game after disconnecting their console from the internet, we suggest you try it as well. If you are unable to bypass the Connect to Xbox Network screen while launching AC Mirage after disconnecting, try the next workaround.
Restart –
You can also try restarting the game as a temporary fix. However, how effective it would be in getting rid of this error is unknown. Players can even try restarting the console if the former method doesn’t work at all.
Check server status –
As we stated earlier, the main problem lies with the servers of Xbox and AC Mirage. Fortunately, Xbox has a dedicated webpage for checking server status and all that. Even if the issue is resolved, you should still check this webpage to get updates on the issue and if it has been fixed.
Reinstall –
Reinstalling the game can sometimes work, but whether it will help in this case is unknown. But if none of the previously mentioned workarounds have been able to help you, maybe this might. So, after a fresh reinstalling, check whether the error code persists.
Contact support –
While we aren’t sure if contacting support will be helpful or not, you can still give it a try. Since Xbox Support has already stated that the issue is fixed, you should wait for a while for the fix to take effect. However, if the issue persists, feel free to contact the developers.
