Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV): How to delete Save Data

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are the recently released video games from The Pokemon Company and Nintendo. These games have introduced the ninth-generation Pokemon roster along with the new region Paldea. Since these titles are quite new, a lot of in-game processes are not known to many players. Anyways, if you want to reset/restart your in-game progress from scratch in any game, you may need to delete the saved data files or use another account. You may have completed the game and want to start from scratch. Well, to do so, you have to delete the save data of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In this article, we will be sharing details on the same.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Delete Save Data

As usual, the new titles are only available to play on the Nintendo Switch. Therefore, the progress that you have made in the game has been saved in the storage of Nintendo Switch only. To delete the saved data of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you will have to head to the “System Settings” of the console. Here, under the Data Management category, you must select “Delete Save Data”. After selecting it, you will be able to see the list of saved game files of all the games you have played on your Switch console. In the list, find Pokemon Scarlet or Violet and select it.

Now, you will be asked to choose the account from which you want to delete the progress. If you have multiple accounts on your Switch console, then you must perform this step attentively. Select the desired account to delete the saved data from, and after that, you will be asked for final confirmation before permanently deleting the saved progress. Now, you will be able to play the game from the beginning.

However, if you want to play the game right from the start without losing any progress, then you must do so by creating a new account. Once you create a new account, you can start your journey from scratch and can switch anytime to the second account to resume the progress in your main account.
