How to find and get Ancient Blade in ToTK

Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom came out on May 12, and fans have never been so delighted. Just like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this game offers multiple weapons and collectible items that players can use. In ToTK, the players will have to play as Link and embark on an adventurous journey to finally defeat the Demon King and save Hyrule. To do so, players can collect several shields, weapons, armor, and many other items throughout the game. In fact, some players might even be overwhelmed with the variety of collectibles if they’re not familiar with BoTW. One such weapon that you can get in ToTK is the Ancient Blade. If you’re looking for this weapon, we’re here to guide you.

The Ancient Blade is a small dagger-like weapon in ToTK. The interesting part is that, due to its size, you can’t actually wield it like a weapon. What you can do, however, is use it as an arrowhead. While fused with an arrow, the Ancient Blade will give you +50 Fuse Attack power. Evidently, it’s a strong weapon that you can use to knock down some of the strongest enemies in the game. You can also use the Ancient Blade to one-shot enemies, which gives you an edge during the offense, but it will break once you use it. One thing, though, that you must remember is that taking on enemies with the Ancient Blade will eradicate them completely. Meaning, you won’t be able to collect loot from the defeated enemies even if you wanted to.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Find & Get Ancient Blade?

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Find & Get Ancient Blade

You can get the Ancient Blade in three different ways – by opening treasure chests, by scanning the Archer Link Amiibo, or by purchasing it in the Spirit Temple.

Find it in Treasure Chests

You can find the Ancient Blade in some of the treasure chests across Hyrule. However, you can only get one Ancient Blade from these chests, and they will not respawn again. You can find this weapon inside a well in Highland Stable (0537, -3427, 0048). Explore the whole area, and you will eventually come across a chest that will give you the Ancient Blade.

Scan the Archer Link Amiibo

If you scan the Archer Link Amiibo from BoTW, it might give you an Ancient Blade as a reward. However, this is not guaranteed. It’s quite possible that you get some other item by scanning the amiibo, so don’t get upset if you don’t get the weapon on your first try.

Purchase it from the Spirit Temple

This is, perhaps, the most certain way of getting the Ancient Blade in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If you complete the first four temples in the main storyline, you will get access to the Guidance from Ages Past quest, which you also need to complete to unlock the Spirit Temple. You can find the Spirit Temple in the southeast part of the Depths at these coordinates: 1402, -3179, -0619. You will find one NPC construct inside the temple who will sell you the Ancient Blade for 50 Zonaites each. This, as you can understand, is quite a costly process. Thus, make sure to farm enough Zonaites if you’re willing to purchase Ancient Blades.

Use the aforementioned methods to get the Ancient Blade and take on enemies in the game without any fear. If you want to know more about fusing weapons in the game, click here. And, for more content on all your favorite games, keep visiting DigiStatement.
