OnePlus is an electronic device and tech brand that has completely ruined the high-end smartphone market for other companies. OnePlus currently stands at the top in the premium devices category and the fun fact is, OnePlus only manufactures premium, flagship smartphones under its label. Recently, OnePlus also stepped into the world of television and will likely explore other electronic gadgets too.

OnePlus 5 is a high-range, flagship device of the brand that released in June 2017. The manufacture of this device has been stopped and discontinued from the series. When released, the OnePlus cost over Rs. 35,000 but gradually dropped down below Rs. 20,000. This model was available in Midnight Black and Slate Gray colors.

We would like to start with the mention of the mind-blowing processor. The device is equipped with an octa-core processor with a Snapdragon 835 chipset. At the time of release, the device was the hotshot of the town for the wonderful specs it brought along. The device runs on a 3300mAH, which is not at all enough in today’s times. But for the quality of the device, the duration expectancy was high, and the device did end-up meeting the battery needs.

OnePlus 5 is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the rear end where 16MP is the primary sensor and 20MP for optical zoom and depth. The front camera is a 16MP selfie shooter with great camera qualities. The device was available in two variants- 64GB 6GB RAM and 128GB 8GB RAM. The device launched with an Android v7 but constantly provided with OS updates.


OnePlus 5T is a premium flagship device that was launched in the month of November 2017. The device is still available in the stores, but the price has drastically dropped to Rs. 31,000. The device is available in Midnight Black, Lava Red, and Sandstone White (128/8GB only) colors.

The OnePlus 5T draws similar features like its predecessor OnePlus 5. The device rocks a fantastic Snapdragon 835 chipset that can support gaming, multi-tasking, and streaming quite well. The battery backup of the device is a minimal 3300mAH that is fairly enough for a day. The device booted on Android v7 but as what OnePlus is known for, the brand constantly pushed software updates till Android v9.

This update is the incremental update for both the devices and will eventually hit all the users’ notifications. Also, the Android 10 update will be the last and final OS update that OnePlus 5/ 5T will be receiving.
