We all know that FuntouchOS is what runs the very creative and popular devices from Vivo. A hugely inspired version by FuntouchOS is the iQOO UI, which is the custom skin of iQOO smartphones. But Vivo has been working on a brand new custom skin for a year now. Though the officials were absolutely mum about this OS at the start, the last three months have brought forth several details and images of this new, upcoming OS from Vivo- OriginOS.
Origin OS is a lot more simple, yet aiming to provide an experience close to stock Android. As a result, we can expect our Vivo and iQOO smartphones to perform in a much smoother way. Origin OS is expected to be released and take over FuntouchOS for the first batch of smartphones by January 2021.

On the 19th of November 2020, Vivo officially unveiled the Origin OS release date and update timeline. The first batch of update will roll-out within January 30, 2021, for the following devices-
