Valorant Error Code 59 How to fix it (2023)

Various issues of Valorant that manifests when launching the game can be discerned through the error codes. The tactical 5v5 FPS is the most-played esports title of all time and has millions in player count. Given the huge traffic and host of other issues from updates, it often fails to connect players to the matches. Error Code 59 is one such error that does not give a clear explanation of what caused it. If you’re someone who’s also experiencing this and looking to fix it, then you’re in the right place. What causes Error Code 59 in Valorant?

The error code 69 in Valorant known as LoginQueueFetchTokenFailure, happens when you try to log into the game. If you launch Valorant, you’ll be greeted with an error connecting to the platform message. The culprit of this issue is the game client of Valorant. There is a high chance the program’s core files are corrupted or missing which is why you encounter it when launching the game. So how do you fix it? We have mentioned several workarounds that you can try. So, without further ado, let’s dive into it.

Fixes & Workarounds

Restart Riot Client

Riot Client is very crucial if you wish Valorant to run without any problems and sometimes the program behaves unexpectedly. Restarting the Riot client can fix it so once you’ve done it, try launching the game and see if you’re able to play. If not, see the other fixes below.

Enable VGC Service

  • Press Windows key + R to bring up the Run dialog box
  • Type services.msc and press Enter
  • In the list of services, look for “vgc”, once you found it, right-click on it and select “Properties”.
  • Change the startup type to “Automatic”, click on Apply, and “Ok”.
  • Restart the PC and run Valorant.

Doing this should fix the error code in the game.

Restart Valorant

Closing Valorant completely and relaunching it can fix the error code 59 and has worked for many. Make sure that it isn’t running in the background. Follow the steps on how to close it completely.

  • Right-click on the taskbar and select “Task Manager”
  • Look for Valorant or Riot Client in the “Processes” tab and right-click on it.
  • Select the “End Task” option. After this, launch the game.

Reinstall Riot Vanguard

  • In the search window, type “Control Panel” and open it.
  • Click on the “Programs & Features” option and click on it.
  • In the list, locate “Riot Vanguard” and click on it, then select the “Uninstall” option.
  • Once it’s uninstalled, double-click on the Valorant.exe file. The game will automatically install “Riot Vanguard” so wait for it to complete and then restart your PC. After this, try launching Valorant and the issue should be fixed.

Delete Temporary files

Clearing out temporary files of Windows can also help you fix the error code 59. Cache files do tend to get corrupted and cause issues with the game. Follow the steps on how to delete temporary files.

  • Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type %temp% and press Enter.
  • Press Ctrl + A to select all files and press Shift + Delete to permanently delete the files.
  • Now, start Valorant and you won’t have issues with Error Code 59.
