Zen3 update announced for ASUS 500 series motherboards, ROG, TUF and Strix

AMD’s Ryzen 5000 CPUs will be available in the market by the end of November. The four SKUs will usher AMD users into the Zen3 era where the company looks comfortable to beat Intel. Ryzen 5000 processors will be cherished by users who wish to experience seamless gaming. On one end of the spectrum is Ryzen 5600X which ensures to keep the thrill in 1440p gaming alive. While on the other end lies the big dog, flagship Ryzen 9 5950X. Various benchmark scores, from renowned sources like Geekbench, CPU-Z have all emerged in the past couple of weeks for these. Meanwhile, users are keen to receive motherboard BIOS updates as soon as possible to kickstart their Zen3 experience. Just as we informed earlier, the Zen3 supporting BIOS updates will reach various 500 series motherboards in early November.

B550, X570, A520 all ASUS motherboards receive UEFI BIOS updates

Yesterday, ASUS released a list of all those motherboards that will receive the latest UEFI BIOS updates. All of these are 500 series motherboards. However, GIGABYTE beat ASUS in the race by releasing BIOS for their 400 series motherboards, B450 and X470. To those unaware, ASUS motherboards come in 4 broad categories. ROG Strix and TUF are the well known ones. In the list, PRIME and a single PRO motherboard have also been included. In total, that’s 42 motherboards. Due to the nature of UEFI BIOS update, you might have to wait a little even if your motherboard is one among the 42. Just in case you have trouble flashing/updating UEFI BIOS, the link here should help you with it.
