The Playstation Showcase 2023 featured a lot of announcement trailers for upcoming games. The list of games announced and teased is too long for us to go through it all. Well, right now, we will be looking at one game in particular, Towers of Aghasba, which will be released on PS5 and PC. This is essentially a world-building RPG from Dreamlit Inc. From what was shown in the trailer, the game features a desolate island that players will have to rebuild. Online play (co-op) is also included. And like with most new releases these days, the visuals of this game are also drop-dead gorgeous. Perhaps the processing power of the current-gen consoles is to thank for this advancement in graphics. All that aside, one thing that was not revealed was the game’s release date. As per the official trailer, the game will support both PS5 and PC platforms. But what about other consoles? Well, that’s a topic for another day. Coming back to the main topic, notice that this is just an announcement trailer, and the description of the trailer also mentions that it’s “early beta footage”. This basically means that the game is still in its early development phase. And since change is the only constant in the universe, we don’t know when the game will actually see the light of day. That, unfortunately, has not been clarified yet. So as of writing this article, all we can say is that the game will be available sometime in 2024. And that’s ok, considering that Dreamlit Inc. is an indie studio with a relatively small team; they will probably need some time to deliver on what they have promised. After all, the open world shown in the trailer is very ambitious and is likely going to take time and attention to achieve. In a nutshell, we expect the game to be released sometime in 2024, probably during Q2 of 2024. But this is just speculation from our side, so take this information with a grain of salt.
