AMD were quick to announce that new and efficient architectures would feature in their CPUs and APUs by 2021. The American manufacturer has responded to that promise with the new Ryzen 5000 series. With X suffixed CPUs (Ryzen 5950X, Ryzen 5900X etc.) carrying the real X-factor. In fact, Zen3 isn’t the only new thing to be excited about. The former Zen2 architecture featuring Ryzen 4000 Renoir, gets an upgrade and is now renamed as Lucienne. AMD and dope names, the same old story continues. As per early claims, AMD will offer the Ryzen 5000 APUs in Zen2 and Zen3 alternatives. A naturally big and better improvement over AMD Renoir is that SMT is now a part of Ryzen 5000U series. Even though the microarchitecture differs, both sets of processors, Cezanne and Lucienne feature Radeon Vega graphics. In a series of tweets published by ExecutableFix about upcoming Ryzens, Ryzen 7 5800U emerges as a flagship. With 8 cores and 16 threads, the graphics output will be enhanced by 8 GPU CUs clocked at 2GHz. On close speculations, some similarities can be drawn between the Renoir age APUs and Cezanne ones.
