SnowRunner is a game about conquering the harsh life of a trucker. The game puts you in a big car/ truck and leaves you to transport goods or people across the rough winter wilderness full of snow and blizzards and snowstorms. It is a very technical game where you have to pay consideration to aspects such as the speed at which your wheels are spinning in order to make informed choices and traverse the wilderness and get to the objective. One of the most important aspects of the game when driving at nighttime is the lights and in this article, we are going to be taking a look at SnowRunner: How to turn on roof lights.
Rooflights and Headlights all have the same controls in the game with them being buried deep in the controls screen and the player will have to acquaint themselves with it if they want to be successful at nighttime driving as the conditions can get pretty treacherous at night. In order to traverse the hostile and unforgiving landscape, you will need not only your wits but also your lights and they can be either dimmed, full, or flashed in this game.
SnowRunner: How to turn on roof lights?
The game is available across platforms and hence there are multiple ways to turn the head and roof lights on based on which platform and input you prefer. If you are on PS4, you will have to press the L1 and Circle to turn the lights on and it is LB and B buttons for the Xbox controllers. Unfortunately, the PC players do not have it easy as they will have to scour and look through their control screen to understand which button is associated with the light toggle. Once you are acquainted with the button, a simple press of the button will cycle through the various lighting modes and make it much easier for you to drive in the dark.
SnowRunner’s embrace of realism leaves little to be desired in a simulation game although it is possible that the devs could have made the game a little more user-friendly. Currently, the toggles for the lights are not mentioned anywhere explicitly and the player is expected to figure it out themselves which is a little unfair considering how difficult the game is. It should have been mentioned in the tutorial how to properly toggle and use lights in the game before the player is left to fend for themselves.
