Sims 4 is about to achieve the ten-year-old milestone next year, and the game is still being actively supported by EA. Even after so many years, the game regularly gets about 40–50k players each month. And that’s not the kind of number you usually see when it comes to such an old game. And it’s all thanks to the gargantuan number of official expansion packs and community mods. Among its plethora of mods, there are some that are regularly recommended by the community. One of them is the Healthcare Redux mod. However, it seems like certain players are having some issues with this particular mod in-game. If you too are encountering issues with the healthcare redux mod in Sims 4, consider reading this guide until the end.
One of the major issues around this mod seems to be the one where Sims will not go to the doctor’s appointment despite the player making them do that. Then there are your usual issues, like the mod not working properly and whatnot. So, are there any fixes for this issue? Continue reading to find out!
Sims 4 Healthcare Redux Not Working: How to fix it?
Players can follow the workarounds mentioned below to deal with this particular issue. Try not to skip these, unless you’ve already tried one before.
Make sure your sim has enough money for a doctor’s visit –
If you’ve been encountering the issue where your sim isn’t going to their doctor’s appointment, do as this player has suggested. You just need to ensure that your sim has enough money for a visit to the doctor, and hopefully, that will help you get around this issue. Additionally, if that one doesn’t work, you can try going to another lot in the game.
Install Get to Work –
There are two absolute packs that need to be installed for Healthcare Redux to work. The first one is the base game, of course. And the second one happens to be the Get to Work expansion pack. So, if you want to use Healthcare Redux, purchase, download, and install Get to Work, and then enjoy the mod.
Update the game and the mod as well–
A quick and common way to deal with any kind of issue related to mods is to simply keep the base game updated along with the mod itself. So, if you happen to be behind on updates, go ahead and download the latest available one.
Uninstall other health mods –
There can be some mods that are not compatible with each other. One such is the GTW Health Overhaul mod, which isn’t compatible with HCR. So, if you have this mod or any other health-related mod installed, consider removing them for the time being and checking if the HCR mod works.
Reinstall –
If the issue persists, we recommend you do a reinstall of the Healthcare Redux mod. First, remove all the related HCR mod files from the Mods folder of Sims 4, and then download the latest version of the mod. Once it’s installed, check whether it works.
