Schedule I: How to rename Product?

Schedule I How to rename Product

In Schedule I, managing your empire isn’t just about planting seeds and raking in buds; it’s also about branding! Whether you’re looking to add a personal touch or just want to give your top-shelf strain a flashier name than “Basic Bud,” renaming your products is a fun part of the game. Now, if you’ve been poking around trying to figure out how to do it, don’t worry, we’ve got the steps right here to help you rebrand like a true cannabis kingpin.

One common question among Schedule I players is whether you can rename a product after it’s already been taken out of the mixing station. To be specific, once a product has been mixed and finalized, is there a way or an in-game option to rename it retroactively? This can be frustrating if you accidentally clicked through too fast or changed your mind on branding. So, continue reading to see what can be done.

Schedule I: How to rename Product?

Schedule I How to rename Product

As of now, there’s no in-game option to rename a product once it’s been taken out of the mixer in Schedule I. By this, we meant that there isn’t an official feature and a built-in renaming function would be a welcome quality-of-life addition for better product management and branding. Until that happens, here are a few workarounds.

Edit .ini file

To rename a product in Schedule I, you’ll need to manually edit the game’s .ini file. Here is how you can do it! First, navigate to “C:\Users\[YourUsernameFolder]\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\”. Open the folder with your Steam ID (a long string of numbers). Then, access the save slot you’re using (e.g., SaveGame_1, SaveGame_2, etc., based on its position in your game’s load screen). Inside, go to Products > CreatedProducts, find the file corresponding to the product you want to rename, and open it with a text editor. Change the “Name” and “ID” values to your new desired name, then rename the file itself to match the new “ID”. Save and close everything, and the product should now display the new name in-game.

Mod

If you’re not comfortable manually editing game files to rename your products in Schedule I, there’s a convenient mod called ProductRenamerPlus that does the job right from within the game. This mod adds a new text box beneath a product’s name on its details page, allowing you to rename it instantly! To install it, first, make sure you have MelonLoader installed for Schedule I. Then, download and unzip the .7z file from the mod page. Move the .dll file into the Mods folder in your game’s installation directory. Launch the game, and you’ll now see an editable field under each product’s name. Just type in the new name and you’re set.

Note: this mod currently doesn’t work in multiplayer, and if you’re using the alternate version of the game, you’ll need the “mono” release of the mod found under optional downloads.

Well, there you have it! Those are the most popular workarounds we have for now to rename products in Schedule I. That said, stay in touch with DigiStatement for daily gaming reads like this. Also, click here to find out how to fix the Stuck in Spawning Player/Loading World Screen in Schedule I.
