Scavengers: How to get high FPS & reduce input lag

The hybrid strategic survival battleground game, Scavengers was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Since the game was released, the feedback received was not very positive, rather mixed. It has been receiving mixed reviews from the players. Having said that, there are many players who struggle to get high FPS while playing this game on Microsoft Windows. So, in this article, we have guided you on how you can get high FPS and reduce input lag in this game by applying some settings. Without any further ado, here is everything you need to know about it.

Scavengers High FPS Settings

To get the High FPS in this game, you will have to change some in-game as well as some Windows Settings. So, let’s get right into it.

Windows Settings

  1. Turn on the Game Mode: For that, type Game Mode in Windows Search Bar. Select it and Enable it
  2. Turn off the Xbox Game Bar: Just below the Game mode, you must find the Xbox Game Bar. Make sure to turn it OFF.
  3. Turn off the Captures: The Capture option is also available below the Xbox Game Bar setting. Make sure to turn it off.
  4. Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling: Make sure to turn ON the Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling option in the graphics settings. For that, head to Graphics Settings by typing it in Windows Search Bar.
  5. Update your Graphics Drivers to the latest version: Make sure that your Graphics Drivers are updated to the latest version. Update your Graphics Drivers from the links given here:
    • Nvidia
    • AMD 
  6. Run the game in High-Performance Mode: For laptop users, it is necessary to run this game in High-Performance Mode. For that, follow this path: Type “Power and Sleep settings” on Windows Search Bar > Advanced Power Options > High-performance.

  1. Window Mode: Fullscreen
  2. Resolution: Native resolution of your monitor
  3. Resolution Scaling: Disabled
  4. Custom Resolution Scale: 100%
  5. VSync: Off
  6. DLSS: Balanced (Only if you have an NVIDIA RTX card)
  7. Quality Preset: Custom
  8. View Distance: Medium
  9. Anti-Aliasing: Low
  10. Post Processing: Low
  11. Shadows: Low
  12. Textures: Medium/ Low for low-end PCs
  13. Effects: Medium
  14. Foliage: Medium
  15. DirectX Version: Choose on the basis of Hit and Trial.
