Hopoo Games just released their latest title, Risk of Rain Returns, and like their previous game, this one’s a banger too. Serving as the remaster of the original Risk of Rain, RoRR promises a much more polished gameplay experience. There are new Survivors to try out, an entirely overhauled multiplayer, and much more stuff to do and explore. However, there’s one area in-game in particular that players are finding hard to access. The Boar Beach to be exact.
The Boar Beach makes its return from the first Risk of Rain, and like the original, it’s a tough one to find. But by the end of this guide, you will learn everything there is to know about Boar Beach. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and see how you can access the Boar Beach in Risk of Rain Returns.
Risk of Rain Returns (RoRR): How to access Boar Beach
Veteran fans of Risk of Rain will remember how hard it was to access the Boar Beach and Risk of Rain Returns doesn’t shy away from doing the same thing too. Like the original level, the entrance to Boar Beach can be found in the Ancient Valley. But it’s not a guaranteed spawn. That, coupled with more map variants in RoRR, means you will have to grind a lot or pray to the RNGesus, to have a chance at finding the entrance.
The Boar Beach entrance is always located at the top left corner of the map and can be quickly identified by an open fence next to some bushes. Once you are near those fences, hold UP, wait for a few seconds, and you will enter Boar Beach. A word of advice! Make sure that the UP button doesn’t trigger Jump, since doing so will make it unable to open the entrance. So, what we suggest is to bind the Jump action to some other button. Additionally, to improve your chances of spawning the entrance, we recommend you turn off new stages.
What lies in Boar Beach?
As the name suggests, Boar Beach is filled to the brim with pigs. You can kill these pigs to get a hefty amount of money, and there’s also some chests in there. But the main attraction of Boar Beach isn’t all this. It’s, in fact, a pig that happens to be wearing a white tee shirt. You can kill this pig and get that cool shirt for yourself. When you do, you will find that it’s actually called White Undershirt (M), with the description stating: +2 STR S>2m or best offer @@@@@@@@
Don’t spend your precious brain fuel on deciphering what that description means. Just know that when equipped, the White Undershirt gives you three armor. Once you are satisfied with exploring Boar Beach, find the Teleporter and activate it. When you do, a Toxic Beast will spawn, which you can either kill or spare. After using the Teleporter, you will be sent back to a newly generated Ancient Valley. So, don’t get your hopes up for skipping the level after accessing Boar Beach.
