Disable e-cores on Intel 12th/13th generation
You can try disabling the e-cores on your processor to fix the issue. For this, you’ll need to access the Intel BIOS. Here’s how to do it –
- Power on your PC, and right before the operating system boots, press F2 or the default key to open the BIOS menu.
- Navigate to the Power, Performance, and Cooling tab and click on Performance Settings.
- Locate the Processor option near the bottom of your screen and click on it.
- Next, simply change the value of Active Efficient Cores to 0, and press F10 to save your changes.
Note: Remember that if your PC faces issues after you disable the e-cores, you can reset it again. Simply follow the first two steps of this workaround to open the BIOS menu. Then, hit F9 to set the settings to Default, and hit F10 to save it.
Disable GPU overclocking
You can fix the Remnant 2 LowLevelFatalError by disabling overclocking on your GPU.
For NVIDIA
- Open the NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to Manage 3D Settings.
- Locate Global Settings and go to the “Performance” option.

- Open Steam and click on the option that reads Steam. You’ll find this at the top left corner of your screen.
- Go to Settings, and select the In-Game option.
- Here, uncheck the “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game” option, and also set the In-Game FPS Counter settings to Off.
- Then head out, and go to your Library.
- Locate Remnant 2 from the list of installed games, and right-click on it.
- Click on Properties and then select General.
- Here, uncheck the “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game” option, and you’re good to go.
Update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files
You can also try to solve this issue by heading to the official Microsoft website and downloading the latest Visual C++ files. Download and install the latest files, and see if it fixes the problem.
Update BIOS
ma3n_vip on Steam has stated that updating the BIOS of their system to the latest version fixed the issue for them. So, you can try this method as well.
