Frame rate defines how smoothly your game is rendered onto the screen. Of course, it does depend on your processor, GPU, and other related specifications. However, keeping that aside, this update is from the developers’ side. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart now has the compatibility for 120 fps. Let us get into the details.

Ratchet & Clank is a PS5 exclusive game filled with an action-packed adventure and insane graphics. Embark on an inter-dimensional journey with these two brave heroes as they want to bring down the evil robotic emperor. You can also check out these upcoming games for PS5.

Enable 120 FPS

To enable the 120 frames per second rendering, you have to follow the steps. First, go into the settings menu of PS5. Now, navigate to Screen and Video. Under the Video Output tab, look at the bottom of the menu. You will find an option to Enable 120 HZ output. Set that to automatic.

Now, launch the game. Navigate to the settings in the game. Switch the Graphics mode to performance. You might see a prompt screen displaying Restart Checkpoint. Just click on Confirm. Now, you will notice at the bottom of the screen that the output FPS has changed to 120.

You might be in a dilemma that is it outputting 120 FPS? Come out of the game and go into the settings of PS5. Under Video Output Information, you will notice a label Resolution. The 120 HZ refresh rate should be mentioned there.

There is a small catch to this. The game is internally rendered as 60 fps. However, with the help of frame doubling, your console will give you a reduced input lag. Thus, it will improve the gaming experience.

You need not worry if your TV does not have a black level setting or an auto video range. Manually set the RGB range of your PS% to Limited and keep your TV Black level to Low. These settings will allow you to enjoy the new 120 FPS video rendering for Ratchet & Clank Rift apart. Players are also excited about the new multiplayer mode.
