The successful mobile game by Niantic, Pokemon Go, has been a phenomenon since its release in 2016. And it is still being played by countless trainers around the world, with phones in their hand venturing out to fill out their virtual Poke-collection. Niantic steadily releases new Pokemon into the digital wild.
Niantic regularly adds new generations of Pokemon to the game. Whether you are an experienced trainer or just a beginner, the introduction of more Pokemon to the Pokemon Go Pokedex is always an exciting moment.
With the latest addition of 5 new Pokemon including Petilil, Liligant, Ducklett, Swanna, and Kyurem in July, there is an increase in the number of Pokemon in Pokemon Go. A trainer on Reddit has provided us with the complete Pokedex. So, without further ado, let us take a look at the complete Pokedex below.
Pokemon Go complete Pokedex
As of July 17, 2020, the total number of Pokemon available in Pokemon Go is 609. This includes all regional Pokemon.
Pokemon 1-151 comprise the Gen 1 or Kanto Pokedex. This includes four regional Pokemon namely:
- Mr.Mime
- Kangaskhan
- Farfetch’d
- Tauros
The Gen 2 or Johto Pokedex consists of 100 Pokemon. There are two regional Pokemon in the Johto Pokedex:
- Heracross
- Corsola.
Hoenn or Gen 3 Pokedex has a total of 134 Pokemon. It consists of 9 regional Pokemon, including:
- Solrock
- Zangoose
- Torkoal
- relicanth
- Volbeat
- Seviper
- Tropius
- Illumise
- Lunatone.
Gen 4 or Sinnoh Pokedex has a total number of 102 Pokemon, including 7 regionals. The regional Pokemon include:
- Uxie
- MimeJr
- Carnivine
- Chatot
- Azelf
- Pachirisu
- Mesprit
The Gen 5 or Unova Pokedex has a total of 118 Pokemon. This Gen Pokedex includes 12 regional Pokemon:
- Panpour
- Pansage
- Pansear
- Simisage
- Simipour
- Simisear
- Durant
- Heatmor
- Sigilyph
- Sawk
- Throh
- Maractus
The Shellos, Gastrodon, or Basculin are not included in the regional Pokemon category because they are available anywhere, just not both color variants.
There are total of 421 Shiny Pokemon available in the game right now, including Alolan variants. This does not include hats and alternate forms.
