The third and final set of weekly challenges leading up to Pokemon Go Fest 2020 is rolling out worldwide. This week, the fest focuses primarily on friendship. The trainers will need to pay special attention to their buddy Pokemon and friends in order to complete all the tasks of Friendship challenge.
The Friendship Challenge event is live from today and the trainers can complete all the tasks before they disappear for good on July 22. These tasks will also include Friendship Elite Challenge tasks that unlock after finishing the first three steps. So, without further ado, let us take a look at the tasks and rewards for this week.
Friendship Challenge Tasks and Rewards
Step 1
- Earn a heart with your buddy to receive 1 Razz Berry.
- You will earn x100 Stardust by sending a gift to a friend.
- Play with your buddy to receive 1 Pinap Berry.
- On successfully completing these tasks, you will also receive 100 XP, x100 Stardust and x10 Poke Ball.
Step 2
- You will receive x10 Pinap Berry by sending 5 gifts to a friend.
- By earning 5 hearts with your buddy, you will earn x10 Razz Berry
- Receive x1 Rare Candy by earning a candy walking with your buddy.
- Complete these tasks to receive 300 XP, A-Raichu encounter, and x300 Stardust.
Step 3
- You will receive x10 Pinap Berry by taking a snapshot of your buddy.
- Sending 10 gifts to friends will give you x10 Razz Berry.
- You will earn x1 Rare Candy by earning 10 hearts with your buddy.
- After the completion of these tasks, you will receive x1 Lucky Egg, x1 Rare Candy and a Petilil encounter.
Elite Challenge
- By using 30 Berries to help catch Pokemon, you will receive x5 Nanab Berry.
- You will receive x5 Razz Berry by sending 30 gifts to friends.
- Earn 30 hearts with your buddy to receive x5 Pinap Berry.
- By completing these tasks, you will receive 500 XP, x500 Stardust and x5 Razz Berry.
Bonuses, Boosted Spawns & more
Petilil will be making its debut and shiny Bellsprout will also be released. Summer Style Pikachu will be appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs.
Other summer themed Pokemon include Oddish, Slowpoke, Krabby, Tangela, Wingull, Hippopotas, Sunny Castform, Slakoth, Weilmer, and Shellder.
Event Research
- By completing the task of catching 3 Grass-Type Pokemon, you will receive Bellsprout.
- You will receive a Petitlil after catching 6 Grass-Type Pokemon.
- Catch 3 Water-Type Pokemon to receive Shellder.
- You can catch 6 Water-Type Pokemon to receive Clamperl.
- You will receive Kabuto by earning 2 candies walking with your buddy.
- Receive Slakoth by giving your buddy a treat.
- Earn 500 Stardust by playing with your buddy.
