Since its open beta launch on August 10, 2023, Singularity 6’s Palia has been slowly gaining popularity in the cozy/farm-sim genre. Just recently, the game started its first major event called the Maji Market. Poised to last around a month, players will get to complete a plethora of quests and earn various rewards. It’s safe to say a lot of new players will be joining the Palia journey, and for them, the game can be an overwhelming mess at times. There’s just so much stuff to do here. From cooking to gardening to bug-catching, the possibilities are endless. Besides these, there’s also fishing. Right now, Palia has nearly one hundred fish that can be caught by players. Catching all these can get overwhelming pretty fast if you don’t know where to look for a particular fish or which bait to use. That’s why this guide will help you catch one—the Silvery Minnow.
It is basically impossible to imagine a farm-sim without skills like farming, mining, and, of course, fishing. At this point, these three are ingrained in the genre. Now, among the nearly one hundred fish in the game, catching some of them is pretty easy, while there are some that will escape your hook a countless number of times. So, what about the Silvery Minnow? Is it one of those hard-to-catch fishes or the opposite? Let’s find out!
Palia Silvery Minnow: How to get, find, & catch
A common minnow with silvery scales that sparkle in the sun. Found in Bahari Bay rivers without bait. – In-game description of the Silvery Minnow
As you might have guessed from that pretty clear description, the Silver Minnow is a fish that belongs to the common rarity tier. Small in size and with a silvery scale covering its body, the silvery minnow is mostly found in the rivers of Bahari Bay. Due to its rarity, it can be caught at any hour of the day and without bait, too. So, you don’t need to worry about getting worms or glow worms.
Since the Silvery Minnow is so easy to catch, it’s evident that selling it also wouldn’t net you that much gold. In fact, if you sell the base variant, you will only receive 21 gold, while the quality one will land you 31 gold in total. If you are serious about enhancing your fishing skills and making it your primary source of income in Palia, then you are better off catching Void Ray, Mutated Angler, and such since they are much more profitable than the minnow. Anyway, here are the locations you need to visit to get the fish.
Places like the Thorny Thicket, Statue Garden, and Proudhorn Pass are best for catching the Silvery Minnow. Apart from being a part of a dish and being sold for gold, catching this fish can also unlock the following accomplishments:
- Catching Fish
- Kilima and the Bahari Fish Collector
- Master Kilima and Bahari Fish Collector
It can also be given to various NPCs as a part of their weekly wish list. That said, now you know how to get, find, and catch a Silvery Minnow in Palia. For more guides and information on the game, visit DigiStatement regularly. Also, read: Palia Golden Salmon: How to Get, Find, & Catch?
