Cozy Sim fans are in love with Palia. Developed by Los Angeles-based video game development studio Singularity 6 Corporation, the game is currently available for Windows only. It had previously been in closed beta; however, on August 10, 2023, it started its open beta phase. This means one thing: Palia is nearing its full release. From what the open beta has shown so far, the game looks and feels highly polished and is more or less feature-rich. There are so many things to do. From taking care of the farm to mining for precious material, Palia’s developers have left no stone unturned to make the game as great as possible. As always, you can’t make a farm/cozy-sim game without including fishing. Palia boasts an expansive fishing feature, one that many will love to try out. And what good is fishing if there are no challenging fish to catch? The Mutated Angler is here to satisfy that thought.
Fishing in Palia is as extensive as other aspects of the game, such as Gardening, Mining, and Bug Catching. Those who enjoyed fishing in games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and My Time at Portia will feel right at home. Now, some fish will be quite easy to get, but there are some that will require some serious skill and timing. The Mutated Angler is one of them. And so, here’s a guide explaining how to get, find, & catch the Mutated Angler in Palia.
Palia Mutated Angler Fish: How to Get, find, & catch
Since the Mutated Angler is of a rare variety, catching it isn’t going to be easy. This fish can only be caught inside cave fishing spots, so your best option is to go to the Pavel Mines in Bahari Bay. Once you are inside the cave, go look for the pond located there. If you are having trouble finding it, then we suggest you enter the cave from the southern entrance. As you head inside, you will eventually encounter a beautiful waterfall. Right next to it is the pond.
Now it’s time to catch fish. Grab your fishing rod by equipping it from the equipment wheel (press R), and then equip worms as bait by right-clicking. While the Mutated Anger is a rare fish, one good thing about it is that it doesn’t have a specific spawn time. So, you can fish all day until you get one. Once you catch a Mutated Angler, you can either sell it or use it to complete the Vault of the Wave bundle, specifically the Spooky Bundle. A base version of the Mutated Angler will net you 145 gold, whereas a higher-quality one will get you about 217 Gold in total.
