Recently, the head of OnePlus revealed some of the features of the displays that the company’s new smartphones will receive. And a week later, the words of Pete Lau were indirectly confirmed in a live photo of the unannounced OnePlus 8 Pro. As you can see in the leaked photo the smartphone will really be equipped with a display of 120HZ refresh rate.

As we can see in the image, users can adjust the resolution of the screen to either 120HZ, 90HZ or the regular 60HZ. For the unware, more the refresh rate of a display the smoother it is. However, more refresh rate display consumes more power.

It is worth noting that the use of the 120 Hz mode does not require lowering the resolution – the smartphone will continue to work in WQHD +, which significantly distinguishes it from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20. According to the leaks, in the upcoming Samsung S20, the 120 Hz mode will require a mandatory reduction in resolution to Full HD +.

Another major thing that can be concluded from the leaked live photo is that the OnePlus 8 pro will not come with the pop-up selfie camera instead it is housed with the punch-hole camera at the left corner of the display.

OnePlus 8 Pro, according to unconfirmed reports, will be released in May-June 2020. As per some other leaks, Oneplus could debut the smartphone as early as in March.
