Chinese OEM Oppo has been doing great in the industry lately. With the launch of the Find X2 Pro that broke many records, Oppo is heading towards a great spot. These devices offer a great deal of value for money, as we know. These days Oppo is quite busy in crafting some of the most premium devices of the industry. To be honest, the brand is excelling at it. While Oppo devices come with tons of features and optimum specs, its Custom OS is not liked by many. To fix this, Oppo brought ColorOS 7 that is currently the latest iteration of Oppo’s Custom OS. The ColorOS 7 is based on Android 10.
ColorOS 7 official update plan revealed:
ColorOS 7 brings UI improvements, new features, and a lot of fixes over ColorOS 6. Users who didn’t like the Custom OS are really appreciating this latest version of the software. ColorOS 7 update has been around here for quite some time. We have been seeing how Oppo has been releasing the trial version of ColorOS 7 to some devices batch by batch. Since then, users have been waiting eagerly for the official and final update to hit their devices.
Heads up, Oppo has brought some good news for you. Oppo has now finally revealed the official upgrade plan for ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 for its devices. The official notice came today itself (May 1) on the official ColorOS community. ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10 will be rolled out in batches in this month of May itself. Yay!! While many devices will receive the official update many devices will be getting the trial version for now. However, the trial version is also the same as the official upgrade as said by Oppo.
As seen in the official upgrade plan, Oppo will first complete the ongoing updates to all these Oppo devices listed at the top. Some of these devices have already got the update and the rest of them will be getting it soon. The Reno 2 will start receiving the update starting from 10th May in India. The update will start rolling out to the same device from 25th May in all the other regions including the Philippines, Indonesia, UAE, and a lot more as you can see above. Oppo K3 will also start receiving the update from 25Tth May globally in all the regions.
Note that this upgrade plan is not for Singapore and Taiwan. There is another plan for these two regions which is given below.
Official Upgrade Plan for Singapore/Taiwan & Trial Version Plan:
Talking specifically about units in Singapore and Taiwan, some devices from the Reno series, Find X series, and some other devices will start receiving the update in the month of June. Other remaining devices from the Reno series and devices like the A9 2020, R15 series, A5 2020 will be getting the update in Q3 2020. While these were all those devices going to bag the official ColosOS 7 upgrade, Oppo has also released a trial version plan.
Oppo will first complete the trial version plan for ongoing devices like the F9 series, Oppo K3 and Reno 2F. Starting from 16th May, the update will be rolled out to the Oppo F7. Following this, the A5 2020 will start receiving the update from 22nd May, and the A9 2020 will get it starting from 28th May. Other devices like the R15 series, F15, and the A91 will receive the trial version update in June.
