Is New World Amazon’s best entry into gaming?
New World is a massive undertaking by Amazon. With gaming being one of the biggest industries in the world, Amazon is interested to be involved in it. The game was delayed multiple times for reasons that are unknown to the public. New World is a massive game with a high development budget & Amazon is really rolling the dice with the game. The success or failure of the game will have a major impact on Amazon’s future foray into gaming.
Coming to the main topic of this article, there are several starting areas/locations that players can choose from. However, sometimes players cannot choose on their own & have to settle with the default. This can impact the experience in New World early on. Likewise, a specific starting Zone or Area can be convenient for players as well. There are four starting zones for players to choose from: First Light, Windsward, Monarch’s Bluff and Everfall. Each of the starting zones have different level of difficulty. Therefore, choosing the right starting zones for the starting quests & side quests can make them easier to complete.
How to Change or Select your Starting Zone/Area in New World
- First & foremost players have to complete the full tutorial. In the tutorial, you have to defeat Captain Thorpe at the start of the game.
- After you defeat the Captain, the game will send you to a random area on the map.
- Next, you have to accept & complete the first quest.
- After the completion of the first tutorial quest. It is important to make sure that you don’t accept any further quests by NPCs in the region.
- Now, open the in-game Map using the ‘M’ button and find one of the four zones for your starting location.
- Next up, set the yellow markers to your selected zone on the map and set them as a waypoint.
- You have to head over to the marker and you can use that zone as a Starting Area in New World.
- In order to confirm the zone as your starting point, all you have to do is accept a quest from an NPC in that specific region.
- This will make that zone your Spawn/Starting Zone in the game.
