NBA 2K22: How to get high FPS & reduce input lag?

In any game, the last thing that players will prefer to see is low FPS and input lags. NBA 2K22 is the recently released basketball simulation game. Being the latest installment in the NBA 2K series, NBA 2K22 is enjoyed by many players every day. But, some of its players are encountering low FPS and input lag while playing it on PC. If you are also encountering the same issue, you must not worry as in this article we have shared a bunch of settings, applying which, you will be getting a boost in your overall FPS and also a reduction in input lag. So without any further ado, here is everything you need to know about it.

NBA 2K22: How to get high FPS & reduce input lag?

NBA 2K22 High FPS Settings

Firstly, we will be checking and applying some Windows Settings and after that, we will jump into the game to change some graphics or video settings.

Windows Settings

  1. Game Mode: Enable it. To find this setting, type Game Mode in Windows Search Bar > Select it > Enable it
  2. Xbox Game Bar: Turn it off. You can find this setting just below the game mode.
  3. Captures: Just below the Xbox Game Bar, you can find Captures. Enabling it can eat a bunch of FPS. Therefore, make sure to disable it.
  4. Graphics Settings: Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in the graphics settings. Simply type Graphics Settings in Windows Search Bar, select it, and enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
  5. Update Graphics Driver to the latest version: It is necessary to update your graphics driver to the latest version to boost overall FPS.  Nvidia Graphics Drivers users must visit here, and AMD Graphics Driver users must visit here to update their graphics drivers.
  6. Make sure to set your Power Option to High-Performance mode– For this, type “Power and Sleep settings” on Windows Search Bar and then select the Advanced Power Options. Find the High-performance mode available in the setting and then select it to maximize your PC’s performance.

So, after applying all these settings in Windows, it’s time to change some in-game settings.

Video Settings

  1. Display Monitor: Your monitor
  2. Display Resolution: Native resolution of your monitor
  3. Window Mode: Fullscreen
  4. Anti-aliasing Level: 1
  5. Anti-aliasing Quality: 0
  6. Refresh Rate– Check your monitor’s max refresh rate and set it accordingly.
  7. Vertical Sync: Off

Video Settings (Advanced Settings)

  1. Shader Detail Level: Medium
  2. Shadow Detail Level: Medium
  3. Texture Detail Level: High
  4. Player Detail Level: High
  5. Crowd Detail Level: Off
  6. Media People Detail Level: Medium
  7. Hair Detail Level: Low
  8. Ambient Occlusion: Off
  9. Volumetric Lighting: Off
  10. Temporal Anti-aliasing: Off
  11. Depth of Field: Off
  12. Motion Blur: Off
  13. Bloom: Off
  14. Floor Reflections: On
  15. Mirror Reflections: Off
  16. Buffer Count: 3
  17. Max Anisotropy: 16
  18. Allow Compute Shaders: On
  19. Shader Preload: On
