Once you do so, start feeding them seagrass. When you do so, the turtles will start breeding. Generally, they will make 1-4 eggs. Once a turtle has eggs, it will go to its spawn location and lay the eggs. You can then use a pickaxe (enchant it with Silk Touch) to harvest those eggs.
Now, if you don’t know where to find seagrass, then you will need to start searching the ocean floors or the riverbeds. You will need a Shear if you wish to harvest this item. Once a turtle lays eggs, you will need to protect it from zombie mobs. You can fortify the area with enclosures or fences to prevent them from attacking the nests.
